The Whole Truth #1

Singleness.🧍🏿. 🧍🏿‍♀️

Marriage. 👩‍❤️‍👨

🍿🥤 Pretty excited to read this..😀

First, is it a good thing to have sexual relations?🧐

Certainly-but only within a certain context. It’s good for a man to have a wife, and for a woman to have a husband. You hear? 😀

Sexual drives are strong, but marriage is strong enough to contain them and provide for a balanced and fulfilling sexual life in a world of sexual disorder. 👐🏿

The marriage bed must be a place of mutuality – the husband seeking to satisfy the wife, the wife seeking to satisfy the husband.

Marriage is not a place to “stand up for your rights.” (Gender fighters, beware please so we can always remember when to draw the line if you want to remain in a marriage or get into one at all)

Marriage is a decision to serve the other whether in bed or out.

Abstaining from sex is permissible for a period of time if you both agree to it and if it is for the purpose of prayer and fasting – but only for such times. (Spiritual husbands and wives, abeg pay attention.)

Then come back together again. Satan has an ingenious way of tempting us when we least expect it.

I am not, understand, commanding these periods of abstinence – only providing my best counsel if you choose them. (your choice please. It’s simply important you know the truth. What you do with it is totally up to you)

Sometimes I wish everyone were single like me – a simpler life in many ways! 😹

But celibacy is not for everyone any more than marriage is. (Deep stuff here..)

God gives the gift of the single life to some, the gift of married life to others. (Which is mine, Lord? I guess it’s not something you ask for, it is given right? Please feel free to give a contrary opinion 🤝)

I do, though, tell the unmarried and widows that singleness might well be the best thing for them, as it has been for me. (Hmmmm)

But if they cannot manage their desires and emotions, they should by all means go ahead and get married. (yup!)

The difficulties of marriage are preferable by far to a sexually tortured life as a single. (yes oh)

And if you are married, stay married.

This is the Master’s command, not mine.👈🏿

If a wife should leave her husband, she must either remain single or else come back and make things right with him.

And a husband has no right to get rid of his wife.

To be continued….

  1. Only those who are single should get married. Singleness = unique & purposefulness.
It (marriage) makes more sense when you discover ‘you’, your uniqueness then you need complementation.
It is better by far to be married for the sole aim of fulfilling a life purpose than just to get married.

  2. My take on this is that you’re singleness is important and it’s a vital stage of your life , it’s a time you should get to know who you are , develop yourself in all ramifications of life ( spiritually ,mentally ,emotionally etc) and then when you have done that to an extent then you can get married , marriage is not for everyone , I totally agree with that but I also think it’s all about finding the right person for you and that’s why you need to know yourself first because if you don’t , then what are you aiming for 🤷🏾‍♀️

    • Exactly babe. I don’t believe it’s God’s plan for us to have multiple relationship s before marriage. His plan is that in place of those multiple relationships, we have a relationship with him. And eventually the man he has designed for a wife will find his way to her. Two of them serving God.
